OVERVIEW

A global manufacturing business based in Solihull is looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join their team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a hands-on role that requires strong Excel skills and experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. With significant growth on the horizon, there is potential for the role to extend.

ROLE

The Interim Management Accountant will support the finance function in delivering accurate and timely financial information during a period of change. This role will be hands-on and will require a proactive approach to ensure month-end processes, reporting, and analysis are completed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Perform variance analysis, including investigating key trends and anomalies.
• Support the month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Prepare and analyse data to aid decision-making across the business.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand costs, margins, and efficiencies.
• Develop and enhance Excel-based models to streamline reporting and analysis.
• Ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required to support the finance team.

PERSON

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong Excel skills and a proven track record in industrial manufacturing environments. You’ll be able to hit the ground running and add value quickly in a fast-moving organisation.

Key Attributes:

• Part-qualified/qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE.
• Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with management accounts and month-end processes.
• Excellent Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation).
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

OFFER

• £275 per day for an initial 3 months, with the potential to extend.
• Solihull-based role with an on-site working requirement.
